  • advertise, sell, or make available products or services,
  • permit the download of software,
  • are directed toward or collect information from children,
  • allow third party advertising or analytics,
  • use locally stored objects (i.e., Flash cookies),
  • use perma-cookies or supercookies,
  • involve social networking or public sharing of content and data,
  • share information with third parties for those third parties’ own purposes, or
  • collect, store, process, or share sensitive information such as:
    • credit card data,
    • date of birth,
    • social security numbers,
    • government issued IDs,
    • health information,
    • financial information, or
    • geo-location.

These activities may trigger special obligations requiring customization of your privacy policy, user experience, and internal practices.  We strongly recommend seeking legal counsel if you engage in any of these activities.
